At DKSS our K9's are so much more than members of our team, they're members of our family. Therefore, how they spend their down time and enjoy themselves, is of the upmost importance. Our K9 Security team need to have time to be 'dogs'. They need to play, run and explore; which is why we have created them their own space, a purpose built private K9 land, which is fully secure and where Savannah and Otto can run free and let their personalities shine. Which often means them playing together or chasing the ball until the ends of the earth. It's also important that they can really stretch their legs and fully release their energy.
As a UK K9 Security company we strictly abide by the 'Dog 5 Freedoms Act'. One of the five rules is for 'freedom to express normal behaviour', which is why we own a large patch of land and fully secure it, so that they have the freedom to be themselves and to do what they do best, but also, so that we know they are safe and secure whilst having fun.
When our K9's are in down time mode, Ant, one of our DKSS Security Owners and Dog Handlers, loves to play ball with them, but for Savannah it's no tennis ball, her favourite is something much larger - a football. We think in her next career she'll be trying out for Norwich City Football Club. Otto however, is the stark contrast, he loves to bird watch with the ball firmly in his mouth. He's never really off guard duty!
